This August, the strange, the spooky, and the cinematic will collide in southern New Jersey as The Hollow Paracon & Film Fest arrives at Stockton University in Galloway, NJ, on August 22, 2026. Presented by Nine Lives Paranormal, this immersive charity-driven event promises an unforgettable experience for horror fans, paranormal enthusiasts, filmmakers, and curious newcomers alike.
Blending the excitement of a paranormal convention with the creativity of an indie horror film festival, The Hollow offers a full day of celebrity meet-and-greets, live lectures, interactive workshops, vendor experiences, paranormal discussions, and independent horror cinema — all while supporting important mental health and suicide prevention initiatives.
At the heart of The Hollow is its commitment to giving back. Proceeds from the event will benefit The Trevor Project and the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention — organizations dedicated to crisis intervention, suicide prevention, and mental health support. Organizers say the event was created not only to celebrate horror and the paranormal community, but also to foster connection, inclusion, and healing.

Attendees can expect appearances and meet-and-greets with well-known figures from the paranormal and horror worlds, including investigators, filmmakers, actors, psychics, authors, and content creators. Guests connected to popular television programs, streaming documentaries, haunted locations, and cult horror productions are expected to appear throughout the day for panels, autograph sessions, and live discussions.
In addition to celebrity appearances, The Hollow will feature a wide range of hands-on workshops and immersive experiences. Guests will have opportunities to explore paranormal investigation techniques, spirit communication methods, sensory deprivation and consciousness exploration, horror special effects, and creative filmmaking discussions. Interactive sessions are designed to engage both longtime enthusiasts and newcomers interested in the unexplained.
Independent horror cinema will also take center stage as filmmakers from around the country showcase original short films and passion projects throughout the event. Organizers describe the festival as a celebration of grassroots horror storytelling and emerging voices in genre filmmaking.
Closing out the evening will be the highly anticipated feature presentation of The Point Pleasant Tapes, a chilling found-footage horror experience inspired by the legends and mysteries surrounding Point Pleasant and the Mothman phenomenon. The screening is expected to serve as the dramatic finale to a day dedicated to horror, folklore, and the unexplained.
The Hollow Paracon & Film Fest will take place from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM at Stockton University in Galloway, New Jersey. Guests are encouraged to arrive early to experience the full lineup of programming, vendors, screenings, and special attractions.
